*Updated, March 22 2000: X10-DoMatic now supports adding separators (spaces) between controls added to an extension.
It slices! It dices!
Well ... not exactly. But it does make it a whole lot easier to create your own ArcView extensions! Use the X10-DoMatic extension builder to package new controls or even documents (views, layouts, etc.) into an extension. X10-DoMatic will add a new document to your project, called an Extension Builder. This document is basically a dialog that lets you define the objects to include in your extension (controls, dialogs, scripts, and documents). After specifying the objects to include, providing an output filename (*.avx), and setting basic properties (name, description, version, etc.) just press a button to write your new extension to disk. The extension also has utilities to help you test your new extensions, such as a menu choice for resetting the $USEREXT environment variable.
X10-DoMatic includes menu choices for jumping straight to extension-related help pages and has an extensive (no pun intended) readme file. Please consult this documentation for a general discussion of extensions, a detailed description of using this extension, and a list of known problems and troubleshooting suggestions. |
