Summary
Users can create buffers around features or graphics that have been added to the Task Results by another tool or task (such as Identify or Query Attributes). Features in a map layer can also be selected with the buffer. This Buffer task uses the new Geometry service in ArcGIS Server 9.3. It does not use ArcObjects or require a Local connection to the GIS server. Please read the Readme.htm in the zip file for installation and use. The appearance and behavior of the task can be set with properties as described in the Readme file. The source code is also included. Updated June 2010 for an issue with client-side parameter for maxBufferDistance causing error.
