* Theme Browser requires a full standard or TYPICAL installation of ArcView 3.2 or higher
* Theme Browser requires Windows 2000/XP minimum!
* As of version 4.0, Theme Browser has become depended on ESRI's Database Access extension to support viewing ArcSDE geodatabases. Please make sure you have the proper version installed before attempting to connect to ArcSDE geodatabases.
* Microsoft's .NET Framework 1.1 or higher required for optional "Fast XML Metadata Access" feature.

ABOUT THEME BROWSER:
Theme Browser is an "ArcCatalog-like" extension for ArcView 3.2 or higher that allows you to browse, search, preview and add themes just like in ArcCatalog.
BROWSE, SEARCH & PREVIEW:
* Browse, Search, Preview and ADD themes from user friendly dialogs
* Access ArcSDE stored geodatabases including full Feature Dataset / Feature Class hierarchy
* Specify a search string for all supported file types (e.g. find files containing "*forest*" in the filename)
* Search an entire hard drive including all subdirectories in a single run!
* Support for 30 GIS data formats (Vector, Raster, Image)
METADATA:
* Support for the display of 12 metadata formats, including ArcCatalog XML using XSL stylesheets
* All major formats - XML, SGML, HTML, NOAA HMTL, NOAA MET, TXT - supported
* Metadata datamining on 10 FGDC metadata elements using keywords, including publication date
CATALOGS:
* Build Standard or Image catalogs to find themes geographically rather than by filename. Load mapsheet based datasets like SDTS DLG, DRG and DEM data in a project. Use the Catalog Browser to open your catalogs and add the tiles or mapsheets contained in the catalog to ArcView. Share catalogs in a user group.
* Catalogs can be given a name, description, default projection, default legend and a default minimum / maximum display scale that will be automatically applied to themes when you load them from the catalog.
CONVERSIONS:
* 8 batch conversions possible including SDTS Raster Profile and Point Profile conversion. The latest USGS DEM files are supported. Theme Browser will search and convert hundreds of themes in a single run.
OTHER:
* Support for UNC filenames in catalogs and ability to save a project with UNC filenames
