Do you use ArcCatalog to create FGDC compliant metadata? Do you ever get frustrated exporting the html, txt, & sgml files one at a time for each dataset? Then this script could be just what you need!!!
SCRIPT PURPOSE: Works in ArcCatalog to batch export the XML metadata for Coverages and/or Shapefiles as HTML, TXT, & SGML files. It places the exported metadata in the same directory as the selected datasets and gives 'em the same name as the dataset but with different extensions. The HTML will be laid out in the same way as the currently selected stylesheet in ArcCatalog.
