Summary
An extension to derive slope, aspect and curvature.

ArcView uses two different methods to derive aspect and slope:
1st Horn's method
2nd the Zenvenbergen and Thorne algorithm

Horn's method is better for rough surfaces, whereas the Zevenbergen
and Thorne algorithm is best for smooth surfaces (Burrough, P. A. and
McDonnell. R. A. 1999 (191-192): Principles of Geographical Information Systems)

DEMAT provides the following derivates of continous surfaces:

1) Slope > degrees > Horn
2) Slope > percent > Horn
3) Slope > degrees > Zenvenbergen and Thorne
4) Slope > percent > Zenvenbergen and Thorne

5) Aspect > Horn
6) Aspect > Zenvenbergen and Thorne

7) Curvature
8) Profile curvatue
9) Plan curvature
